Age Requirements for VBS: Age 3 – Grade 6
Times: Preschool—9 a.m.–Noon; Children: 9 a.m.–12:15 p.m.
What to bring to VBS each day: A Bible if you have one, a friend, and you should wear tennis shoes for safety.
PLEASE TAKE NOTE: Many photos are taken during the week of Vacation Bible School. By enrolling your child(ren) in our program you acknowledge Bethel Baptist Church of Troy, Illinois, may use your child’s photograph for printed and virtual publications without further consideration, and may crop or treat the photo at its discretion.
VBS Dress Up: Monday – Hat Day, wear your favorite team hat, Tuesday – T-Shirt Day, wear your VBS t-shirt, Wednesday – Wild Hair Day, you can bring your quarters and pay for a spray of color (all money goes to backpack mission project), Thursday – Uniform Day, wear your team uniform, Friday – Team Spirit Day, find a friend or two and dress alike, form a team.
T-Shirts: T-Shirts are optional and can be purchased at the church prior to and during the week of VBS (while supplies last) Cost/sizes: $10 each for sizes child XS-Adult XL, Larger sizes are available to be ordered, prices vary. T-Shirts will be available for cost $7 at Bethel Glow Games (TBD)—join us for a night of fun games in the dark, (while supplies last).
Music CD’s: Music cd’s are available for purchase for both the Preschool and the Elementary. Cost: $3 each
VBX: Students 5th & 6th Grade only (Register ONLINE, here, beginning APRIL 2019)—5th & 6th Grade and VBS youth helpers – Splash City Day is Thursday, 12:30-5:30, Tweens and teens will have the opportunity to attend a special activity designed just for them. A permission slip is needed and cost is $10. This form will be sent home the first day of VBS. Bring a sack lunch, sunscreen, and appropriate swimwear. Students will ride the bus to Splash City in Collinsville and back to Bethel.
Penny Brigade: Bring your pennies and help to purchase backpacks to ease the financial burden of kids in our community. The Penny Brigade happens each morning of VBS during the opening worship time. This friendly competition between boys and girls will help lighten the load by providing backpacks for children in need. The “Back-to-School Backpack Give Away” will be held at Tri Township Park, August, 2019.
Family Celebration: Friday, 2019. Make plans to attend our Family Celebration. It is a great event for family and friends. Join us as we dive deep celebrating together in worship. Preschoolers will perform a short singing program and then our elementary students will perform “Game On” musical. After the music program, join us for some fun and food for the whole family.
